First-choice Lineup

The newcomer A debut start for his country. Slightly loose when playing out however his dangerous set-pieces posed a danger. A handy game manager for the manager to utilize against teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed tackle. Six

The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and set-plays were dangerous. Had room to drift down the left flank only to be in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned break around the 60-minute point. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward spot out wide and put in dirty work. Demonstrated moments of class but scuffed an attempt high. Withdrawn towards the end for Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s top opening of the first half, his effort smartly stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah hanging back, it fell to him to offer an outlet out wide but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6

Harry Kane The match-winner netting 77th and 78th goals at international level. The first a typical poacher’s finish and the second a superb finish with his head having drifted away from his marker. At 32, his form is unwavering and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity following a pass by the midfielder but the keeper made the save. Rashford had a greater an impact in his place. 5
